THE FEAST OF OUR LADY OF MOUNT CARMEL

The Feast Day of Our Lady of Mount Carmel falls on Friday, July 16. The Parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will celebrate with a three day feast, July 16, 16, & 18. Since the Feast begins on the actual feast day, there will be a special Mass at 5:30 PM to kick off the feast. There will be plenty of good food, rides, games of chance, 50/50s, popper instant games, and a super 50/50, which can be purchased ahead of time from the rectory. There will be entertainment every evening as well. And on Saturday and Sunday, there will be an indoor flea market. The festivities begin on Friday evening, 6:00-10:00 PM. they will continue on Saturday, 4:00-10:00 PM, and Sunday, 4:00-10:00 PM. Vespers of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be clelbrated on Saturday evening at 7:30. On Sunday, there will be a Mass in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel at 10:00 AM, and the statue of Our Lady will be carried through the streets from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. We will also have special entertainment on the three days of the feast. There will be a "Montclair Idol" contest on each of the nights. Also, the Dupees will entertain on Saturday night, and Uncle Floyd Vivino on Sunday night. Don't miss the fun.

                                                                      ST. SEBASTIAN FEAST

Thisyear, the annual St. Sebastian Feast will take place on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 26, 27, 28, and 29. There will be food, kiddie rides, entertainment, and bocce games at Kaveny Field, Grove and Walnut Streets, Montclair. There will be Vespers of St. Sebastian on Saturday, at 7:30 PM. On Sunday, the Mass will take place at 10:00 AM, and the procession with the statue of St. Sebastian at 3:30 PM. For more information, go to the society's web site.

The Men's and Women's Society of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, formerly the Rosary Society, hold their annual Communion Breakfast on October 3 at the Forest Hills Country Club, Bloomfield, at 10:15 AM. More information will follow.
